Lillian Rishty, LCSW



While integrating psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral therapeutic methods, Lillian's approach is interactive, supportive, and individually designed. Lillian enjoys working together on better understanding how past experiences influence present day behaviors combined with a practical, strengths-based, problem-solving approach.  She strives to provide a safe space in which your experiences and relationships can be explored with an emphasis on trust, comfort, and a judgement-free environment. 

Lillian received her Master's at Yeshiva University's Wurzweiler School of Social Work. Lillian has experience working collaboratively in a pediatric neurology office, high school and college settings, facilitating art therapy groups in an outpatient rehab facility, in a mental health clinic, and in private practice. 

Lillian is an LCSW is both New York and New Jersey.  She is a Certified Anxiety Specialist by the National Association of Cognitive Behavioral Therapists as well as a Certified Eating Disorder and Weight Loss Specialist. She is also certified in Eating Disorder Intuitive Therapy (EDIT)™. Lillian has completed a one-year training at the William Alanson White Institute of Psychiatry, Psychoanalysis and Psychology in eating disorders, addictions, and compulsions. She is soon to be a certified complex trauma professional (CCTP).


Naveen Kassamali, LMFT


Naveen has experience working with individuals, adolescents, couples and families. She combines evidence-based therapy interventions chosen based on research, her own clinical judgment, and each patient's preferences, in a warm relational style, in order to achieve optimal results for our patients. 

Her skill set includes cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), motivational interviewing (MI), health psychology, exposure therapy and addiction psychotherapy. She has also provided ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. 

Naveen earned her undergraduate degree in sociology at UC Davis and her masters in counseling psychology at Notre Dame de Namur University. Her masters thesis focused on the impact of microaggressions on specific multicultural populations. She brings a broad skill-set while working with her clients.

Ruthy Zalta, LMHC


Often times, taking the steps to come to therapy can feel isolating, intimidating, taxing and exposing. Taking such into consideration, Ruthy's therapeutic process is organic, safe, collaborative, and individually designed to meet the needs of each client. Rather than navigating your pain alone, it can be a road that is walked through together side by side, entirely  at your own pace.



Ruthy’s  style is eclectic, creative, and dynamic as she integrates Cognitive Behavioral, Bibliotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment, Psychodynamic, Existential, as well as  Schema Focused therapy. Ruthy has been especially successful in helping clients overcome and manage symptoms of Depression,  Anxiety ,and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Ruthy will challenge you to consider the factors that keep you stuck in the past, consumed with future,   and avoidant of the here and now.

 Additionally, having overcome Perinatal Mood Disorders herself,  Ruthy is passionate about working with mothers and partners in developing insight into symptoms and possible treatments  as well as decreasing  the isolation and shame that inevitably accompanies.



Ruthy received her masters in Mental Health Counseling with an advanced certification in Play Therapy from the City University of New York, Brooklyn College. She has experience working with a multicultural clientele in both an outpatient and private practice setting. Ruthy is also a Certified Trauma Professional as well as a Perinatal Mental Health Specialist.

Emilia Nhaissi Shapiro, LMSW

Emilia believes successful therapy starts with the right fit between therapist and client, and makes sure to provide a safe and supportive space for clients from all backgrounds.  When you're ready to discuss the issues that are stopping you from  succeeding, enjoying or living your fullest life, she is here to help.



Her clinical training includes a master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University and a master's degree in Clinical Social work from Hunter College’s Silberman School of Social Work.  She has worked with adults of all ages and varied racial, sexual, economic and religious backgrounds



Emilia specializes in CBT, DBT, ERP, and solution-focused therapy, and is especially passionate about working with individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression and OCD. She also offers marital counseling, relationship counseling, and welcomes all types of couples.

Misha Valencia, LMSW


Misha specializes in treating Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Depression and trauma. Misha uses different therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and psychodynamic, to provide a supportive and comfortable space. Misha has extensive experience working in different outpatient mental health settings and is passionate about helping individuals, families and children overcome various challenges they are experiencing in their lives. 


Misha is also a writer and her work on trauma, education, sibling empty nest syndrome and family violence has been featured in the New York Times, Washington Post, Parents Magazine, Healthline, NY Metro parents and numerous other publications.
