The film features an original score by the composer A. R. Rahman and lyrics by Javed Akhtar. The Hindi version of the soundtrack album was released on 22 November 2008 on the Bollywood music label T-Series. The film was dubbed in Telugu and Tamil as Kootu and Kettu respectively. The title song, "Anjali Teri Rasgullas" was released in the United States as "Walking in Beauty". The song was composed by A. R. Rahman and lyrics were written by Javed Akhtar. The name "Anjali" was kept by Ajay for the film, and was used as the female lead. A. R. Rahman performed the song "I", while Honey Lee met him at a party on the day of the recording and sang her own song "Hey Hey Hoo". Honey Lee also sang a duet with A. R. Rahman titled "Oo Piya" in the film. The song was recorded in London, Paris and in Mumbai. An alternate version of "Anjali" was released as the title song of the Kannada film Anjali, featuring Bhumika, and was composed by singer Pravin Mani.
